Hello Northwood Parents,
It’s the fourth year of our Science Enrichment program, which the kids named “The Mad Scientists”, and we’re still going strong. The mission is to get kids excited about science and offer a variety of activities and events throughout the school year to keep them excited. Our two big science events this year will once again be the Hands-On Science Assembly and a Science Olympiad Fun Night.
It’s that time again….
The Hands-On Science Assembly is planned during the school day for the weeks of Nov 3rd, 10th and 17th this year. The Science Assembly topics are aligned with grade level GLCES and reinforce curriculum in a fun “Hands-On” way.
If you’re interested in participating your teacher or room parent will be looking for volunteers to help out. Watch for the email!
Start saving your left over toilet paper, paper towel, and wrapping paper tubes! We will have a box in the main breezeway for these starting in November. These will be used for one of the experiments in March.
Feel free to contact Bonnie via email or phone/text (248) 798-6623 with questions, input or concerns.
Keep an eye out for more future updates from “Mad Scientists”
