weather permitting. The plan for the construction site will encompass our entire large playground and a portion of our parking lot. This will create the need for changes in our parking lot.
This will create the need for changes in our parking arrangements and lunch scheduling. Much of this planning was done last year in anticipation of the changes to come.
On site parking will be available for staff members only. Drop off and pick up will be limited to the small circle drive. At lunchtime, the children will still be offered a combination of a time to eat, and a time to play. The recess portion of the lunch hour will be have some children using the small playground; supervised game and activity stations will be available inside. All children will be able to go outside daily, weather permitting, sometime during the school day. Our evacution procedures will remain the same These changes are already in effect. Update as of November, 2006Dr. Thomas Moline, Royal Oak School Superintendent, addressed the PTA attendees with an update regarding the "new" Northwood.
The ground breaking for the new school has been delayed until the Spring of 2007. It is projected
that the new school will be ready for the Fall of 2008.
