Hey Kids! Submit a poem to be displayed at the Poetry Parade and get entered into a special prize drawing! It can be an original or a favorite. Turn the poem into your teacher or the PTA box by Monday, February 27th. Please be sure to include your name, grade, teacher, and of course the Author of the Poem. The class with the most participation will also receive a special award!
Join the Poetry Parade and be part of an Original Poetry Frame with a special guest from our own Royal Oak Library. Show off your style by reading one of your original poems or a favorite poem. Bring your parents, brothers, sisters and friends to also participate in this special creative evening. Poetry books will be available to read from. Feel free to dress up as your favorite poet and wear your berets, frocks, mustaches and vests! Several great prizes will be given out so don’t miss your chance to WIN! We will also have Cookies and Lemonade. Don’t forget this is a free family event sponsored by the PTA.
