In celebration of Reading Month, we are thrilled to welcome Maria Dismondy to our Northwood!

Maria Dismondy is an award-winning children’s book author known for her uplifting stories that focus on kindness, courage, empathy, and the importance of being yourself. Her popular titles, Spaghetti in a Hot Dog Bun and The Juice Box Bully, have inspired children around the world to make positive choices and celebrate what makes them unique.

During her visit, students will have the opportunity to learn about the entire process of writing a book—from the very first idea to the final published copy. Maria will also share valuable lessons she has learned along her journey as an author, encouraging young writers to dream big and persevere.
