Trunk or Treat 2026!
Northwood's PTA Trunk or Treat event is Friday, October 16th 6:30-7:30 pm, in the school's north and middle parking lots. Wear your favorite costume to celebrate Halloween with all of your fellow Northwood friends! This event is only open to current Northwood families and children must be supervised, this is not a drop off event.
We are planning a few exciting updates this year to make the event sensory friendly so all our Northwood families can enjoy:
The first 20 minutes will be sensory friendly meaning no loud music, no flashing/strobing lights, no fog/smoke machines
There will be a sensory friendly calming station with a table set up near the South playground for families to take a break and grab some non-candy items to take home if candy isn’t your child’s interest
Trunks that do not incorporate loud music, flashing lights or fog machines in their design will be positioned towards the south playground to provide a place for families to congregate once the first 20 minutes have elapsed
We need trunk volunteers!!! Trunk volunteers arrive Friday, October 16th at 6:00 pm, at the Crooks Rd entrance to the north lot and will be directed where to park. Please click here to sign up to decorate a trunk! The trunk decorations can be simple, it's more important to have enough volunteer trunks to make the event fun for the kids. We only request that volunteers start off the event by passing out your own candy (one large bag per participating child that you bring). The PTA Trunk or Treat chairs will then run around and pass out the parent donated candy to each decorated vehicle. You do not need to be a PTA member to decorate a trunk.
This event is held rain or shine and admission is one LARGE bag of candy per each trick or treating child you bring to the event. We ask that only NUT-FREE candy is donated so that all trick or treating kids can have a safe and fun evening. Please drop off the candy when you arrive at the PTA tables set up on both ends of the parking lots to collect candy donations (unless you are decorating a trunk).
